NEW FIRST YEAR STUDENTS YEAR 2021/2022 ORIENTATION

The Department of Human Anatomy and Physiology as a tradition conducts orientation to new students into the facilities ie Laboratories every new intake before classes start. Because new Medicine students need some direction and guidance in performing practical work in the laboratory, faculty members and Lecturers should have an opportunity to provide academic advising at orientation. An academic component to orientation will give the new students the advantage they will need in making the transition from high school to University colleges. By giving a strong overview of academic expectations, students will be better prepared to meet the challenges of collegiate academics. Therefore, in order to give the most accurate view of an institution, there must be both an academic and social component to the orientation program.
