FIRST YEAR MEDICAL STUDENTS DURING THEIR INTRODUCTION TO BASIC MICROSCOPY PROCEDURE LESSON IN THE HISTOLOGY LAB, DEPRTMENT OF HUMAN ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY

New Students are taken through the introductory parts of the laboratory equipments and technical field of using microscopes to view objects and areas of objects that cannot be seen with the naked eye to adapt to the environment before embarking on serious lessons. They are introduced on bright field microscopy which is the simplest of all the light microscopy techniques. Sample illumination is via transmitted white light, i.e. illuminated from below and observed from above.
